2020 contestant information

Eligibility Requirements

Entries will be open to bona fide residents or real property taxpayers of San Benito County who have been so for at least 30 days prior to the start of the show AND TO PAST CONTESTANTS WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE SHOW IN THE PAST 5 YEARS. People who are fully employed in San Benito County (but do not live in the county) are also eligible to enter. Any horse entered in the Rodeo must be owned by someone who would be eligible to be a contestant.

  • Halter division is open to San Benito, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz and Monterey County residents. This does not automatically qualify for entries into other events.

Deadlines to Enter

The LAST DAY to accept Track & Arena Events and Halter Horse Division events is Wednesday, JUNE 10, 2020 at 5:00 pm.

  • Physical applications will be accepted until 5:00 pm at the Bolado Park office.
  • Mailed entries will be accepted if USPS postmarked on or before June 10, 2020.
  • Metered mail will not be accepted unless received by June 10, 2020.
  • Online entry form will automatically close at 11 pm June 10, 2020.

 

The LAST DAY to accept Rough Stock Arena entries is MONDAY, JUNE 22, 2020 at 5:00 pm.

  • Physical applications will be accepted until 5:00 pm at the Bolado Park office.
  • Mailed entries will be accepted if USPS postmarked on or before June 22, 2020.
  • Metered mail will not be accepted unless received by June 22, 2020.
  • Online entry form will automatically close at 11 pm June 22, 2020.
